What does this limited warranty cover?

This Limited Warranty covers any defects in material or workmanship under normal use during the warranty period. During the warranty period, Fort O PC will repair or replace, at no charge, products or parts of a product that proves defective because of improper material or workmanship, under normal use and maintenance.

 

What will we do to correct problems?

Fort O PC will either repair the product at no charge, or replace the defective part using new or refurbished parts.

 

How long does the coverage last?

The warranty period for physical goods purchased from Fort O PC is 90 days from the date of purchase. A replacement physical good, or part assumes the remaining warranty of the original physical good or 30 days from the date of replacement or repair, whichever is longer.

 

For services that do not include hardware (i.e. virus removal and deep cleaning), there is a 30 day warranty on the service performed by Fort O PC.

 

What does this limited warranty not cover?

This Limited Warranty does not cover any problem that is caused by: conditions, malfunctions or damage not resulting from defects in material or workmanship. Items listed "as is" do not have a warranty unless otherwise noted on the reciept/invoice.

 

What do you have to do?

To obtain warranty service, you must first contact us to determine the problem and the most appropriate solution for you.

 

What if it’s past the warranty period?

New and refurbished parts may have a manufacturer’s warranty that extends past the 90 day period. In this case, please contact the manufacturer for assistance. Used parts will only have the 90 day warranty period, unless otherwise noted on the receipt.

Returns & Exchanges

For new items purchased in-store, refunds, returns, and exchanges are accepted within 14 days of the original purchase with a valid receipt or proof of purchase.

 

Ineligible Items

The following items: Used items, Clearance items, Final Sale items, Special-Order items, and Custom Products are not eligible for return/exchange.

 

Condition of Items

Except for items that were marked “as-is” or “used” when purchased, refunds, returns, and exchanges for items that may be "open box" but must be unused, undamaged, and complete with all original packaging. We reserve the right to refuse any return/exchange, at management's discretion, if the item being returned/exchanged does not meet the criteria set forth within this policy.

 

Form of Payment

Refunds, if issued, will be issued in the original form of payment unless otherwise stated. If the original form of payment is unavailable, store credit may be issued at our discretion.

During A Repair

While a device is under repair, in the shop or with the customer, we will continue to update the customer with their preferred method of communication. Updates will be provided as shipping statuses change and the repair progresses. Methods of communicaton offered by Fort O PC are by phone, text, email, or Facebook / Instagram Messenger.

 

After A Repair

As soon as a repair is completed and ready for pick up, Fort O PC will attempt to make contact with the customer via their preferred method of communication. Fort O PC will continue to follow up with the customer no more than once per calendar week.

 

Abandoned Devices

After services (assembly, repair, upgrade, downgrade, troubleshooting, and/or diagnostic evaluation) are rendered, the customer has 90 calendar days to retrieve all property and remit payment. Fort O PC will make no less than three attempts to contact the customer, using the contact information provided by customer, to return all property after completion of requested services. Such contact attempts will include, but is not limited to, phone calls, emails, and certified mailings. After 90 calendar days, if Fort O PC is unable to contact the customer, Fort O PC will attempt to sell the device(s) at a fair market value.

Fort O PC is not your normal PC repair shop. I strive to make your device repair as convientient as possible. I also run my business from my home and that puts me in a unique position. Fort O PC is set up so that I will come to you to pick up your device, bring it back to my workshop, then bring it back to you. This means you don't have to take time out of your busy day to bring your device to a store. As an added bonus, there is no cost to you for this pick up service.
